LINKTREE TO THE ART

Hi everybody! It's the first time I try to present my project, so feel free to let me know what is interesting and what is not Dear friends.
FrekhzFaber is a pluridisciplinary artist from Switzerland.
First, what's a FrekhzFaber. In short: Frekhz stands for frequency, khz is a common frequency unit called kiloherz. And what's a Faber then? In latin, the goldsmith is called "aurifaber". Faber has various meaning, but the ones he likes are: creator, maker, smith. So he's a Frequency Smith.
The FrekhzFaber project is all about shaping good vibes, with sound, colors, motions and behavior!

He started creating digital and mixed media art in 1998, and brought it to a professional level in 2017, where he worked for a Museum project and exposed a pyramidal hologram he fully realized for the promotion of the movie Call UFO's, created by the psychedelic rock band Allucinacorps.

He's first project in 1998 with an website showing a crazy countdown to the year 2000, which was a major event at this time. The Countdown was appearing every second in a Matrix like visual (green strange characters coming down at different speed and overlapping each others, and a fixed trace was composing the numbers of the coundown, then disapearing with the matrix). He created this piece on Macromedia Flash at the time.

He worked hard during summer holidays to be able to buy a computer at age 13 in 1996, as he's genitors didn't want him to touch "the family" computer they had since he was 8. Whatever, computer graphics have been a passion since very young. His processes evolve with the tools he's using, He explores the new tech we are offered, and see what he can do with them. He learned Flash 3, 4, MX from 1997 to 2001, then he's been introduced to Photoshop and Illustrator in 2002 in the IT school he went to. He then went to work for companies, but always spent time exploring the new possibilities offered by CGI. In 2008, He had his first experience with timelapse thanks to a old 320p webcam.

He left his parents home at age 17 to never go back, and lives since up in the mountains, were people are wild and alive like the nature that surrounds them. There are pretty much nice views to capture, and timelapse really gave him a perspectiv on reality that is hard to get without this slowed down yet accelerated perception of reality. He made an uncountable number of movies and pictures of friends and situations as soon phones like Nokia N95 let us take pictures and record movies, and the quality of his work followed the quality of the tools that were more easily accessible years after years. He discovered and entered the psychedelic culture in 2012 a special Festival. It's a realm he respects very much and he's part of the people who thinks the psychedelic culture will help a human population in great need of help. In 2014 he learned to use many tools like blender, Cinema 4D, After Effect, Premiere and learned basic sound engineering, and professional filming. In 2015, He created his first VR experiences on Unreal Engine and kept exploring new technologies as he could get his hands on them. After using high-end smartphones for a decade to capture his environement, in 2018 he was finally able to get a DSLR after dreaming of it for more than 10 years.

He created a small VR and mixed reality studio in 2017 that he used mainly to test and stream on twitch the new VR experiences that where coming out at this time. He's been invited to the World VR Forum in Crans-Montana in 2018, where he listened amongst the most amazing conferences about psychedelics, VR, and brain research. Today he continue to explore new tools and reshapes old and new creation following his inspirations.

Culture is central in his life. To the point where he's been involved in events almost all his life. The village party was always the happiest time of the year, and he's stayed involved in culture in all the way he could with music festivals, concerts and spectacle. He works as an technician for various events, where you can sometime perceive his special, hi-end touch if you know where to look.
